Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, with a master’s degree in corporate law with a special mention in business administration from the same university.

In addition to this, he has studied at international institutions such as the International Intellectual Property Training Institute-IIPTI in Daejeon, South Korea, Davis University in California, USA and in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Gonzalo is experienced in the public sector, having worked at the Oficina de Derechos de Autor (Copyright Authority) and ar the Comisión de Signos Distintivos (Trademark Commission) of INDECOPI. In the private sector, his experience at law firms allows him to provide legal advice in areas of expertise in several industry sectors such as the food and beverage (mass consumption), nutritional supplements, pharmaceutical, perfumes and cosmetics, fashion, vehicles, machinery and equipment, education and services sectors.

His experience at the firm includes his participation in the portfolio management and defense of internationally renowned trademarks in the beverage, household items and footwear sectors, at both administrative and judicial levels. Besides that, he advises Peruvian enterprises in the registry of their trademarks abroad, with a comprehensive knowledge of legislation and legal practices of several countries.

He is also specialized in advising on the area of copyright, with an emphasis on protection and defense of literary, artistic and software creations as well as the implementation of strategies aimed at the commercial exploitation of those creations by their title holders and heirs.

Gonzalo has also teaching experience and has published several articles in specialized magazines. He is a member of several institutions such as the Lima Bar Association, the Asociación Peruana de Propiedad Industrial y Derechos de Autor (APPI), the Asociación Interamericana de la Propiedad Intelectual (ASIPI), the Asociación Internacional para la Protección de la Propiedad Intelectual (AIPPI), the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the International Technology Law Association (ITECHLAW).
